Gary started Phillips Tax and Business Services in 1986 with his previous experience of being a Loan Officer, Corporate Credit Manager and a Corporate Controller of firms in the Grand Island area.
Gary was born, raised and educated in the mid Nebraska area, allowing him to be very familiar with the challenges we face here and the strategies that work best for our clients.
Gary has emphasized his training and education in the area of small business. He has owned and operated other businesses in the past, and with that experience comes a vast knowledge of many areas that are resourceful to the small business owner. Emily joined our team in fall of 2016 as a Business Account Manager. Emily graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Accounting and has previous work experience in the areas of finance, sales tax processing and small business management. She handles all aspects of day to day business transactions for many of our clients.
Emily is also available to provide QuickBooks support to any clients needing assistance with set up, or even if you have just a simple question. Feel free to contact her at any time regarding these services.
Stephanie joined our team in January of 2018 as our Operations and Marketing Coordinator. She comes to us with previous experience in: Human Resources, Small Business Management, Customer Service, and Marketing. She graduated from National University in La Jolla California with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She handles payroll and record keeping for many of our clients.
Stephanie is also available to answer questions on how to properly fill out I-9 paperwork and other Human Resource questions you might have for your small business.
Catey joined us in 2012 as a Business Account Manager and has now also handles both personal and business tax returns.
Catey received her degree in Accounting from Doane College. She has previous work experience in accounts payable and sales tax processing. Catey also provides on-site QuickBooks and accounting training for small businesses.
Beth has been an integral part of the Phillips Tax and Business Services team for over 4 years now. Before joining us, she served as Regional Sales Manager for a large printing company. Beth also has over 35 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management.
