Gary Phillips -Owner, Tax Preparer, & Business Consultant
Gary started Phillips Tax & Business Services in 1986. His goal when he started the business was to use his previous experience in banking, corporate credit management, and corporate accounting to help individuals and small businesses in the Grand Island area grow and prosper.
Gary specializes in tax preparation and business consulting. He has a vast knowledge in local, state, and federal tax regulations and guidelines, allowing him to assist our clients in more ways than one. He prides himself on being able to prepare your taxes and provide you with a personalized service. When you walk out the doors, he wants you to understand what is going on and wants to help you make the best tax decisions for you future.
Stephanie Prater - Operations and Marketing Coordinator
Stephanie joined our team in 2018. She came to our office with previous experience in human resources, small business management, customer service, and marketing. She graduated from National University in La Jolla California with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She handles payroll and record keeping for many of our clients. Stephanie also handles marketing for our office and offers help and assistance to our clients.
Stephanie is also one of our tax prepares and specializes in both business and individual income taxes.
Rocio Esparza- Bilingual Tax Preparer
Rocio Esparza partners with Phillips Tax and Business Services as a Tax Preparer and specializes in both business and individual income taxes. Rocio is able to offer our clients a bilingual service, which helps us be able to better provide tax preparation services to our community. She has an Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Doane University, and is currently pursing her Master's Degree at Doane University. She is a managing partner at Esparza & Associates and also owns a business with her husband. Rocio is also a volunteer at the Literacy Council of Grand Island, the Grand Island Children’s Museum, and a member of the Student Advisory Board.
Beth Stecker- Project Manager
Beth has been an integral part of Phillips Tax & Business Services starting in 2015. Before joining us, she served as Regional Sales Manager for a large printing company. Beth has over 35 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management.
Her training has allowed her to help many small business owners by providing start-up consulting advice, especially in the areas of organization, sales, and marketing.
Deb Phillips - Project Support
Deb has been with Phillips Tax & Business Services since 2010. She is an important part of the team especially during the busy tax time of year helping mange the collating of tax returns and helping answer questions for clients.
